Gift Reggie allows you to create, manage and sell from your registries and wishlists from your store's Shopify point of sale system!
Requirements
- Available only with the Expert plan
- Latest version of the Shopify POS app running on any compatible device (Apple and Android fully supported)
- Optional: Barcode scanner to quickly add items to customer registries and wishlists

Setup
Tip: You must be a store administrator or a user with full permissions to add the Gift Reggie tile to your POS home screen
Click the "Add tile" button at the bottom of your home screen
From the pop-up list, choose "App" then select "Gift Reggie"
Tap the "App website" section, and press the "Add" button next to "Go to app website"
The new Gift Reggie tile will appear at the bottom of your home screen. Press and hold to change it's position. Press the Save button when complete. The tile should now appear on all your POS devices
Note: If you were already using Gift Reggie on POS, you can safely remove the older app extension tiles as they are no longer supported
Once successfully installed, selecting the tile should open a menu with further options
Creating a new registry
To create a new registry, select the Gift Reggie tile and choose "Create Registry" from the list that appears
Fill in at least the required information and press the Submit button at the bottom of the form
Adding items to registries
Viewing, managing and buying from registries
After selecting the tile on the home screen, select "View/Modify Registries" from the menu to see a searchable list of all your registries
You can search by email, registry title and registrant/co-registrants name
You can also filter by registry status, showing open or closed registries
Selecting the line will display the registry contents in a POS friendly view, allowing basic editing (adding/removing products and adjusting needed quantities)
Pressing the "Add to cart" button next to each product will add that product to the current POS cart for easy checkout. To check out, simply close the Gift Reggie tile and proceed as normal in Shopify POS.
Note: products added to the cart from this page will include a "registry_id" as a line item property on each item added. This is important to make sure the purchase is deducted from the registry. If a customer wants to purchase other items for themselves, add them using your regular process, not from the Gift Reggie tile
If you need to take more advanced actions, like modifying the shipping address for the registry, please use the "More actions" button in the top right and select Registries. This will give you the full admin page, allowing you to make any change as you would via the Shopify admin panel
NEW: Creating and managing wishlists from your POS
You can now create, manage and buy from customer wishlists on your POS!
Simply select "View/Modify Wishlists" from the menu
Select or search for a wishlist by name or email
Once in the wishlist, you can choose the Add Product button to bring up a product picker, Add items to the current POS cart, or delete an item
Dont forget to save any changes!

If you are getting this error, first verify you are on the most recent version of the POS app and check your IOS version. If you are on IOS 12, you will have to update to a more recent version. If you are IOS 14, you will have to enable a setting to resolve this error. In the IOS settings find the Shopify POS app. Then enable 'Allow Cross-Website Tracking'.
